Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Healing Trust Hope is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy outlines how we handle "Sensitive Information" related to your health and wellbeing.

2. Collection of Health Information

We collect information necessary to provide trauma-informed counselling services. This includes personal details, medical history, and session notes. We only collect information with your explicit consent.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Storage Method: In accordance with our current practice model, clinical records and sensitive client data are stored on encrypted, password-protected hardware.
  • Data Redundancy: To prevent data loss, records are backed up across two separate, secure physical devices.
  • Offline Protection: When not in active use, these devices are stored in a secure, locked location within the Northern Territory to minimize the risk of unauthorized remote access.

4. Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics to understand how our community interacts with our website to improve our services.

  • Data Captured: This includes non-identifiable data such as page views, device type, and general geographic location (city-level).
  • Privacy Protections: We have disabled "Form Interactions" tracking to ensure your private messages remain confidential.
  • Opt-Out: You may opt-out of tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Alternatively, you can adjust your mobile device or browser settings to 'Block all cookies,' which will also prevent tracking.
